WOW!!!
Today was weigh-in day. I cannot believe what the scale said, but I'll take it. According to the same scale I wighted on last week, wearing the same type of clothes, I lost 15.6 pounds! I'm willing to consider that some/most of that might have been "water weight" -- but it's still weight! I weigh at my doctor's office this afternoon, in jeans, so that will give me a better idea of what's what.
Even though I started out great yesterday, I had some challenges. I do very well until it gets dark; then I turn into an eating machine! I'm not eating anything that's not on my diet, but I am eating more of it than is probably recommended. Even so, I'm still getting far fewer calories than when I snacked on junk food, so I guess I'm doing okay.

Take it and run with it !!!!!!FABULOUS !!!
ReplyDeleteIf you are allowed, Sunflower seeds in the shell are a lifesaver for me. A huge amount is about 70 calories. It takes me about 2 hours to crack them and eat the insides and spit out the shells. By that time, hunger has past... All the best...
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome Amaris!! I'd just go with it!! lol And, it's also about little changes here and there, like you said, you've been snacking on healthier things... might have been more, but think if you were snacking on junk food and you ate about the same amount, just think about all those calories saved! :) Keep it up!! :)
ReplyDeleteHoly crap! That is quite a week! Great job!
ReplyDeleteOne of my greatest lap-band victory is giving up all the eating just because my diet says I can still have something. If I'm not hungry, I don't usually keep eating. This is one of the reasons diets are so messed up - they teach us that we need an external force to tell us when, what and how much to eat. What we really need is to learn to listen to our body's natural sense of hunger and satiety.
congrats on your weight loss! hugs
ReplyDeleteFantastic! You are knocking the ball out of the park! I think I spend too much time with my Sports Fanatic hubby... LOL *Maria*-Blogger from "This one time at Band Camp..." Check out my blog at mybigfatbandgeeklife.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You're on the right track! When you get banded and filled it will be easier to keep away from munching on food at night. That used to be my problem too. I still eat at night but not nearly as much and usually I go most of the day eating very little. Keep it up!
ReplyDelete***I'm following you now*** Sounds like you are starting out great! And your surgery is very soon, I'm so excited for you!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the awesome scale numbers!!
